Stocking The Pantry

The heart of the holidays is about more than gifts, it’s about caring for one another. That’s why every stocking that leaves The Sunday Studio also helps stock the pantry for our neighbors in need.
This initiative began in 2010 with South House Designs, when Diane pledged a portion of each stocking sale to fight hunger. Through the generosity of our stocking families, calligraphy partners, and matching donors, Stocking the Pantry has turned holiday traditions into meals for those who need them most by donating over 190,000 meals to Harvesters, our local food bank.
How It Works Today
The tradition continues here at The Sunday Studio:
- $1 from every stocking purchase is donated to Harvesters.
- Each year, we tally the total and make our donation on New Year’s Eve, a tradition Diane started and one we are proud to carry forward.
- Matching donors often multiply the impact, turning every dollar into multiple meals.
If you’re a fellow maker who sells stocking stuffers and want to join this initiative, reach out. I’d love to talk about expanding the impact even further.
A Legacy That Lives On
Diane poured her heart into this work, and I’m deeply honored to continue it. As a teenager, I spent over 900 volunteer hours at Harvesters, and the mission to fight hunger has stayed with me ever since. Carrying on Stocking the Pantry feels like the perfect way to blend my story with Diane’s: handmade goods paired with hands-on giving.
Thank you for supporting my work and in turn, helping carry forward this wonderful mission of feeding our neighbors in need.
